INTIMACY WITH JESUS OUR GOD

"How can one be intimate with God?" I know that some of the readers who may not be Spiritual or rather have not launched deep into Christianity can wonder how one can be intimate with God.  According to one of the websites (www.bing.com), there is a number of definitions for Intimate;

1.  Close: having, involving, or resulting from a close personal relationship

2.  Cozy: quiet and private or secluded, enabling people to feel relaxed with each other

3.  Private and Personal: As private and personal as to be kept secret or discussed only with a close friend or relative.

And in the above definitions, none mentions ‘sex’ which is often and undoubtedly linked sometimes to "intimate”

Many people, including the non Christians have an intimate relationship with Christ, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit. Now as I said, we, many of us have an intimate relationship with God: a close, cozy even, private and personal which is often secret.

Such phrases like it’s Amazing our relationship with God…, I was just thanking God a few moments ago for the blessings…. Are some of them that we alter in our daily lives and daily encounters.

There are many reasons why we should be intimate with God, our Creator, He is our God, He is a Loving Friend, He is worthy, He knows our end from the beginning, He knows our thoughts.. And many more.

Each Moments that we encounter should be intimate, come to think of your loved one and what you mean to them, what you mean to them, and more on that what you share with them. As the same happens, the same ought to be with the Father of our Life, our creator and our Love, yeas, our love, he did let his Only son to spread His love for all of us and did set His life for us,  you and me…

There are a number of things that people who are intimate share or that binds them together, lets just be realistic and see what we share with people who are a close, cozy even, private and personal which is often secret.

o   We share our past, fears and dreams. Much of this is true to us; we share it with a lot of ease.

o   We share our failures and speak of our strength

o   We Trust and entrust them with our lives.

o   We communicate with our intimate people with openness.

o   We believe in the people we are intimate with.

Matthew 7:7-11    7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

To accomplish this and be intimate with Christ is having to know Him personally and accepting his friendship through salvation. He is willing and readily available to have you in His life. He is not shaken by your past, He is interested with the will of your mind and acceptance at your Heart, he is waiting for you, just whisper this in your heart “God, I know that I have been avoiding your undying love for me, I want you into my life, help me know you better through your Holy Spirit, I acknowledge Jesus as my personal savior of my life, welcome God and lead my life, Amen…”. Just feel the lightness into your heart, Decide to cultivate His love and decide to Grow.
